Specialist Physiotherapists

Dr Michael Vadiveloo

Sport & Exercise and Knee Specialist Physiotherapist

Michael is a knee specialist and sports & exercise physiotherapist (awarded by Australian College of Physiotherapists 2009), with over 30 years experience in treating spinal and sports injuries. He established the City Baths Spinal and Sports Medicine Clinic in 1991.

He was a physiotherapist at St. Kilda Football Club from 1991 to 2005 and has travelled extensively with representative teams including Australia (International Rules vs Ireland 2003, 2004, 2005), the Dream Team (vs Victoria 2008) and the Indigenous All Stars (vs Adelaide Crows 2009).

Michael has a special interest in treating knee and lower limb kinetic chain injuries.

Dr Alastair Flett

Specialist Musculoskeletal and Vestibular Physiotherapist

The Melbourne Dizziness, Headache, and Neck Pain Clinic is run by Alastair Flett, a specialist Musculoskeletal and Vestibular Physiotherapist as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists, with over 25 years of clinical experience.

He has a particular interest in the assessment and management of dizziness, neck pain, headache, shoulder and temporomandibular (jaw) disorders.

Dr Alicia Rayner

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Alicia was awarded the title of Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, in 2022.

Alicia holds Masters degrees in both Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports Physiotherapy in addition to her specialist title, and has extensive experience working with athletes and diverse sporting teams.

Alicia enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, but she has a special interest in treating complex problems such as jaw pain, headaches, chronic pain, or long-term injuries, as well as providing advanced spinal treatment.

Lynne Kruger

Senior Physiotherapist

For over 25 years Lynne has been delivering personalised Physiotherapy to her clients.

Lynne’s belief is that excellent outcomes comes from a comprehensive approach, and her goal is to deliver this with genuine care and compassion.

After undertaking further study in Clinical Pilates, Lynne became a founding director of a successful purpose-built clinical pilates studio in Cheltenham. She continues to utilise Clinical Pilates with many of her clients, designing individualised programs to address specific needs and goals. Lynne takes a large number of the Clinical Exercise Classes throughout the week here at CBSSMC.

Tom Bevan-Shannon

Physiotherapist

Tom completed a bachelor of Exercise Science at LaTrobe University, before completing his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Technology Sydney.

Tom has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries and loves to help clients restore confidence in their body. Tom uses a combination of exercise-based rehabilitation and hands-on techniques, in conjunction with the latest evidence, to get his patients feeling their best and performing at their peak.

Emily Fegan

Physiotherapist

Emily graduated from Curtin University in Perth following the completion of his Masters of Physiotherapy (2017) and Bachelor of Science (2013) degrees.

She holds APA Level 2 Sports Physiotherapy, dry needling therapy, and clinical pilates accreditation.

Emily enjoys treating foot, ankle, and shoulder injuries, as well as running injuries, particularly those suffered by female endurance athletes, like stress response injuries.

Aki Nemoto

Physiotherapist

Aki found her passion for physiotherapy after completing her Bachelor of Science and going on a volunteering trip to Mexico, where she worked alongside physiotherapists in a local hospital. After returning from her trip, she went on to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2019.

As a general musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Aki enjoys working across athletic and non-athletic populations. She has a passion for collaborating with her patients and helping them achieve their goals with a mixture of manual therapy and exercise. Her main areas of interest include neck, shoulder, and back pain.

Zac Caughey

Physiotherapist

Zac is a dedicated and skilled physiotherapist with a special interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries, and performance enhancement.

He takes great pride in his ability to apply evidence-based techniques and stay current on the latest advancements in sports physiotherapy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care. This enhances performance and allows for a faster return to sport by working closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.

Zac is currently undertaking his Master’s in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy, and has extensive experience in a sporting setting, through his numerous roles as a physiotherapist in the AFL, VFL and QAFL.

Myotherapy, Remedial Massage and Podiatry Practitioners

Suzanna Vukovic

Remedial Massage Therapist

Suzanna is a Remedial Massage Therapist (Diploma of Remedial Massage from Australian Institute of Natural Therapies 2006).

For the past 12 years, Suzanna has worked in the therapeutic industry, specialising in elite and amateur athletes, plus international artists providing a thorough knowledge of the sporting environment and workings of the human body.

Skills include: Deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and pregnancy massage.

Suzanna has completed the AFL Sports Trainers course, has her current first aid and is a member of Massage and Myotherapy Australia (MMA). Suzanna is keen to share her knowledge and empathy of Sporting injuries and is passionate about optimal health of the mind and body.

Michael Randles is one of our key Podiatry specialists and has been in private practice for 20 years, graduating initially in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Education and then in 1990 with a Bachelor of Podiatry.

He was Dux of his final year in 1989 receiving the Registration Board of Victoria Prize. Michael was also the recipient of ‘The Harley Award’ for excellence in orthotic therapy and ‘The John Disste Award’ for excellence in functional anatomy.

He has a broad base of experience including consultancy to industry for the Australian Defence Force and AFL team St Kilda Football Club. Michael has particular interest and competency in treating overuse injury of the foot and lower limb injuries in children, adolescents and active adults, and has appeared on Radio SEN discussing football boots and assisting listener’s general inquiries.

All of our Physiotherapists are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and are required to practice in accordance with the APA Code of Conduct.
