Zac Caughey is a dedicated and highly skilled physiotherapist with a special interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries and performance enhancement. With a passion for helping clients achieve their peak performance, he has established himself as a trusted expert in the field. Driven by his love for both sports and healthcare, Zac has devoted his career to optimising the physical well-being of clients of all athletic abilities.

Zac’s pathway into the field of physiotherapy began with his excellent academic background. He completed his undergraduate studies at Australian Catholic University (Brisbane) with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has continued to develop his abilities in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy through the completion of numerous extra courses and continued professional development.

In addition to his position at CBSSMC, Zac is Head Physiotherapist for North Melbourne Football Club’s VFL programme. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries, the development of individualised rehabilitation programmes, and the provision of preventative care to reduce the risk of future injuries. Zac has gained extensive experience working with athletes from a variety of sporting disciplines, including professional athletes, community teams, and recreational sports enthusiasts.

Taking great pride in his ability to apply evidence-based techniques and keep informed of the most recent advancements in sports physiotherapy, Zac ensures a comprehensive approach to care. This optimises performance and facilitates a speedy return to sport by collaborating closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.

Beyond his passion for physiotherapy and sports, Zac enjoys spending his down time with family and exploring all that Melbourne has to offer. He indulges in sport and exercise himself, recently taking up Ice Hockey after being inspired during his trip to Canada earlier this year.
