Zac Caughey is a dedicated and highly skilled physiotherapist with a special interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries and performance enhancement.

With a passion for assisting clients in reaching their peak performance, he has established himself as a trusted professional in the field. With extensive experience in healthcare and sports, Zac has dedicated his professional life to enhancing the physical health of clients of all athletic abilities.

Zac’s pathway into the field of physiotherapy began with his excellent academic background. He graduated from Australian Catholic University (Brisbane) with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has continued to hone his skills in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy by completing numerous additional courses and pursuing professional development and has recently acheived Titling with a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy.

In addition to his role at CBSSMC, Zac is the head physiotherapist for Melbourne Football Club’s AFLW programme. His strengths include the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries, the development of personalised rehabilitation programmes, and the provision of preventative care to lower the risk of future injuries. Zac has extensive experience working with athletes from a wide range of sports disciplines, including professional athletes, community teams, and recreational athletes.

Zac takes great pride in his ability to apply evidence-based techniques and stay current on the latest advancements in sports physiotherapy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care. This enhances performance and allows for a faster return to sport by working closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.

Aside from his involvement in physiotherapy and sports, Zac enjoys spending time with his family and exploring Melbourne. He tries to embrace his own athletic side, with distance running and, more recently, playing ice hockey after being inspired by his travels in Canada.
